Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss is a book that has been adored by many generations of kids and parents. Here are some fun free printables for children to enjoy doing at home or at school. They can be downloaded and shared as part of Read Across America Day, which is celebrated by many public schools on Dr. Seuss’s Birthday, March 2nd.
Kids can customize their own version of the classic story with a free Green Eggs and Ham coloring activity, featuring everyone’s favorite—Sam-I-Am.
How many times have you played tic-tac-toe with your child to pass the time in a restaurant or doctor’s office? Here’s a Green Eggs and Ham version of the game that uses cut-out paper eggs and ham instead of Xs and Os. Just print it out and have your child color the board and the pieces. If you have access to a laminator (and for those of you who do, I’m jealous!), laminate it and cut out the pieces for an eco-friendly, reusable tic-tac-toe board and pieces.
Kids can get into the action of the story with this do-it-yourself picture frame. Print out the paper on printer paper or card stock. Have the child decorate the frame and cut out the the middle square and circle as instructed (helping little ones as needed for ease and safety’s sake). Then tape your child’s picture to the back of the frame so that your child’s face is peeking out of the opening.
